The Museum of the Plains Indian displays richly varied arts of Northern Plains tribal peoples including the Blackfeet, Crow, Northern Cheyenne, Sioux, Assiniboine, Arapaho, Shoshone, Nez Perce, Flathead, Chippewa, and Cree. Highlights of the exhibits include historic clothing, horse gear, weapons, household implements, baby carriers, toys, and contemporary arts and crafts.
A series of promotional sales exhibitions introduces unsurpassed contemporary American Indian arts and crafts by emerging artists and craftspersons.

The Museum of the Plains Indian is not a part of the National Park system, and does not accept "Golden
Passports."
