Collective Spirit

December 3rd - 31st, 2004

ArtworkCollective Spirit reveals the stories and artistry of eleven American Indian artists honored by the First People's Fund with a 2004 and 2005 Community Spirit Award. These artists were nominated by members of their own communities and exemplify the community spirit, which First People's Fund seeks to reward. The artists share a common commitment of keeping tribal heritage and culture alive by maintaining deep roots and strong ties to their tribal communities. These extraordinary artists are honored for teaching and aiding in the restoration of tribal traditions by generously sharing their artistic talents within their communities.
